Blind Tasting: The Wines of France – July 24

  • Tria Wash West 1137 Spruce Street Philadelphia, PA 19107 United States (map)

A suspenseful, educational, fun and delicious immersion into French wine!

Instructor: Lauren Harris

France is a celebrated winemaking country because it has the perfect mix of climate, soil, and tradition. Its diverse regions, like Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Champagne, each have unique conditions that produce distinctive wines. With centuries of winemaking expertise, French vintners have perfected their craft, creating wines that are celebrated for their quality and complexity. Speaking of complexity, the vast array of French wines originates from numerous regions, with most labels not specifying the grape varieties used. What's a curious wine lover to do?

Relax! Tria Wine Director, Lauren Harris, will lead you on this enlightening journey. You will blind taste four pairs of French wine (eight wines total) of red, white and sparkling treats from France. We will compare, contrast, and vote on our favorites. (Guaranteed to be the least stressful voting all year!) Tasty Tria snacks will be served.

Bottles will be available for sale after the class.
