Attend the PA premier of a spectacular Washington State winery, Grosgrain Vineyards.
Instructor: Amber Janelle Brown, VOS Selections
Join us for a special evening on Tuesday, June 18 as we explore what's wild and exciting in Washington State wines through the lens of Grosgrain Vineyards.
This impressive project is the life's work and pivot of husband-and-wife duo, Matt and Kelly Austin, who left their day jobs in law and fashion design to dive fully into the abundant viticultural possibilities offered by the Pacific Northwest.
After putting himself through night school and studying enology, Matt Austin furthered his knowledge of the area by working with several Washington wineries. In the process, he stumbled upon a small vineyard on the Southside of Walla Walla. Planted with uncommon varieties, these five acres became Grosgrain Vineyards, a winery dedicated to championing underdog grapes, sparkling wines, restrained reds, and sustainable farming practices. The development of a subsequently acquired 80-acre property has allowed Grosgrain to expand its range of grape varieties, with many unique or rare to the area.
We are thrilled to be the first in Pennsylvania to champion these delicious wines, and hope to see you for an enjoyable evening on Spruce. As always, tasty Tria snacks will be served.
Bottles will be available for sale after the class.
