Unbelievably unique tasting of German beers with America's most innovative beer importer, Matthias Neidhart, of B. United International.
Tria's beer list has always showcased sublime imports not commonly available elsewhere. Most of these brews come courtesy of our favorite beer importer, B. United International, located in Oxford Connecticut. Since 1994, founder Matthias Neidhart has blurred the lines between importer, brewer and farmer at his massive Willy Wonka-ish facility.
The photo above shows one of B. United's trademark differences: four-compartment beer tanks that are filled overseas, allowing the beers to mature during their voyage, then get kegged or canned stateside as fresh as they would be in the native lands. Perfectly fresh imported beer!
This German-themed tasting features examples from important smaller breweries including Kloster Ettal, Bahnhof, Hofstetten, Schlenkerla - plus a bonus beer from B. United's diminutive-yet-amazing onsite brewery, OEC Brewing.
The previous iteration of Tria Fermentation School hosted Matthias many times over the years. We are not exaggerating when we say that a class with Matthias is a must-attend experience for every beer lover.
