Travel with us to discover the geography, history, and terroir of Oregon through the distinctive Pinot Noirs of Antiquum Farm.
Instructor: Lauren Harris + Stephen Hagen
Hold your nostalgia for the Oregon Trail of 1985 on an Apple II computer. This is Tria Wash West's Oregon Trail and there is wine.... lots and lots of wine. Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir to be exact!
Join us on Wednesday, October 23rd, from 6:30 to 8 pm, as we kick off our Oregon Trail with Stephen Hagen of Antiquum Farms. Stephen will be in Philadelphia for one night only to share his unique take on regenerative agriculture and grazing-based viticulture, a signature part of his life's work at Antiquum.
Grazing-based viticulture was first conceived and implemented at Antiquum Farm. The central tenet of this process is to grow wines that communicate the wild and honest soul of the place and the principles of its people. These practices have in turn led to mind-bending Pinot Noirs and Pinot Gris that have defied what is possible for the varietals themselves. Join us alongside Stephen as he takes us through five unique pinots for an evening that will surely dazzle.
Come with an open mind and palate. We can promise that you won’t be disappointed. As always tasty Tria snacks will be served and we encourage you to join us for Tria's Happier Hour, from 4 to 6 pm before class!
Bottles will be available for sale after the class.
