Red wine lovers rejoice! This chill (literally) class will show you there's no need to be left out in the heat.
Instructor: Lauren Harris
Hey red wine lovers – you need not forego red wine pleasure when the heat is on. This class showcases red wines that are cooler than most. Literally. A fair number of red wines in fact come to life when served at cooler temperatures, and these lighter-bodied bevs pair perfectly with summer.
Most wine pros agree that the majority, if not all, red wines are best enjoyed with a slight chill – cellar temp, which is between 60-65 degrees. (Hence Tria's red wine coolers.) But reds that are light- to medium-bodied and with high acidity and low tannins are best served even cooler – between 45 and 55 degrees. In France, these irresistible wines are called vin de soif or glou glou. You'll call them "thirst quenching" and "delightful."
This tutored tasting will showcase six summer-friendly red wines from around the world. Tasty Tria snacks will be served.
