South African Wine Safari

  • Tria Wash West 1137 Spruce Street Philadelphia, PA 19107 United States (map)

No wildlife on this safari, but you will explore a nation's wines known for consistent high quality and a vast range of flavors.

Instructor: Aaron Meeker of Vine Street Imports

Is South Africa the oldest New World wine country, or is it the newest Old World wine country? Either way, the wines straddle both worlds, melding the elegance of France with boldness of Australia and the United States. We'll taste a broad range of food-friendly whites and reds, featuring both familiar and unique-to-South Africa grape varietals.

South African wines have become widely available stateside only in the last decade. The future is bright. Best of all, these wines offer tremendous value. Discover South Africa before everyone else does! This class will be lead by Aaron Meeker from Vine Street Imports, one of Tria's favorite importers.

Bottles will be available for sale after the class.
