Enjoy a globe-trotting tour of the regions that are winemaking's innovators, ranging from Australia to the United States.
Our focus for this session is rising New World wine stars including Argentina, Australia, Chile, New Zealand, South Africa, and of course, the United States. New World wine regions generally enjoy warmer and sunnier climates than venerable Old World European nations such as France, Italy, and Spain. Equally important, New World winemakers are unburdened by the rich-yet-rigid influence of tradition – and stricter regulations. New World winemakers are like kids in adult candy stores, crafting wines that tend to be fuller in body, higher in alcohol, and exploding in fruitiness. They are innovators. Learn why much of the world has fallen in love with wines of the New World.
