Sipping South America

Vines & Andes Mountains.jpeg

Old-school grapes with new-school perspective: trek both sides of the Andes and discover a whole new world.

Instructor: Lauren Harris

Today both Chile and Argentina produce some of the world's most compelling red wines. As with many New World nations, their finer wines have only recently become appreciated beyond their domestic markets, yet their viticulture goes back centuries. Classic European superstar varietals Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah are suited to the temperate climate of the Andes valleys. But lesser known Old World varietals Malbec and Carmenère have become the signature reds of Chile and Argentina. Discover these complex, delicious wines with Tria Wine Director, Lauren Harris at this must-attend session for all red wine lovers.
